It’s an age-old question in test development: How do we form diverse panels of subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that certification and licensure exams are more equitable and have reduced bias?

In a roundtable-style discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate with others and share their experiences around expanding the makeup of their SME groups. Small groups will be given a prompt to discuss among themselves and then share the highlights to the participants at large. In doing so, the group may identify shared stories, tips for how to address difficult situations, and discuss emerging best practices in connecting with and supporting communities of diverse SMEs.
