Commission for Case Manager Certification

MaryBeth Kurland is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Commission for Case Manager Certification which certifies over 50,000 case managers and disability management specialists. In this role, MaryBeth provides leadership for the Commission by supporting its strategic mission and vision. MaryBeth manages relationships with likeminded organizations and oversees business development as well as the Commission’s programs, products and services. MaryBeth works directly with the Board of Commissioners, building its corps of volunteer and subject-matter experts who directly support and evaluate certification and related services. Prior to becoming CEO, Kurland served as the Commission’s chief operations officer, and was staff lead for the development and launch of the Commission’s signature conference, the CCMC New World Symposium® and its Case Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK)®.

CCMC is managed by a professional association management company, Association Headquarters, where MaryBeth also serves as the Credentialing Segment Leader and client relationship officer for multiple credentialing clients. MaryBeth has over twenty-five (25) years of association management experience, having previously served as CCMC's chief operations officer and executive director for various AH client partners. In addition, prior to joining AH, MaryBeth served as chapter services manager at the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) in New York City, and Mid-West Regional Executive for the Risk Management Association (RMA) in Philadelphia.

MaryBeth earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2008 and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Rutgers University – Camden and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware. In addition, MaryBeth is a member of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.), and has earned her Certified Credentialing Professional Certification (ICE-CCP) as part of its inaugural class. MaryBeth is also a member of the AMC Institute (AMCi), Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives (MASAE) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). MaryBeth currently serves as the past chair of ASAE's CAE Item-Writing Committee, and recently served as a member of AMCi’s Professional Development Committee.
