
Laura M. Williams, PhD is a member of the Credential Integrity team at Western Governors University. In her role as a Senior Lead Assessment Strategist, she collaborates across the organization to establish university standards, practices, and policy related to assessment in WGU’s competency-based model. Prior to Credential Integrity, Laura held various roles in the assessment and content development areas at WGU, including Assessment Program Manager and Senior Manager of Design and Development. Her career in higher education spans student affairs and assessment practice at both brick-and-mortar and online institutions. Laura earned her PhD in Assessment & Measurement at James Madison University, where her dissertation research focused on test-taking motivation in low-stakes testing environments and the impact to score validity.
