
David Solot, PhD, is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the assessment industry. His career has been driven by a passion for advancing the world of testing and addressing challenges in public perception. David is dedicated to using emerging technologies to make assessments more engaging, aligned with DEI principles, and less intimidating for test-takers.
At the American Board of Internal Medicine, David helps design next-generation assessments to certify top-performing physicians and enhance care standards. Previously, as Chief Scientist and Head of Product at Sciolytix, he spearheaded the creation of the first simulation-based pre-hire sales assessment, which earned a Brandon Hall award and won HRTech’s Pitchfest. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Vice President at Caliper, where he helped develop Caliper Analytics, the first big data platform for personality assessment, which generated significant industry impact and revenue.
David is an active member of the Association of Test Publishers, where he chairs the DEI in Testing Technology & Access subcommittee and serves on the AI Advisory Committee, contributing as the DEI representative.
He holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Walden University, an MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University.
