Ann King is a Senior Manager and Senior Measurement Scientist in the Office of Research Strategy at the NBME. Ann has mentored leaders in medical education in more than 100 medical schools in the United States and abroad. Ann led the test development unit that launched the USMLE, Step 2 Clinical Skills Exam in 2004. She is currently working on the next generation of communication assessment tool, Video-based Communication Assessment, which recently received a patent. This new tool was designed to offer all learners an opportunity to improve their communication skills.
