User Defined Microsoft Copilots' Application in Medical Certification Boards

-

Breakout Celebration 14 - 15
P Presentation

Microsoft Copilot Studio enables users to create specialized AI assistants for specific tasks. The American Board of Family Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics will demonstrate how this technology revolutionizes medical certification processes.

Built on GPT-4o, these copilots integrate organizational knowledge from PDFs and websites, facilitating text generation and user interactions. This approach significantly reduces staff training time by encapsulating organizational policies and knowledge, ensuring quick access to current information.

For medical certification exams, the system streamlines item generation, assisting in the transition from clinical scenarios to multiple-choice options and aiding in grammar and style editing. This increases productivity while maintaining quality standards. The copilots also offer personalized feedback to diplomates, enhancing engagement in longitudinal assessment programs. During the presentation, ABFM and ABP representatives will showcase the design and implementation of these copilots, providing insights into their practical applications.

This innovative approach, leveraging AI to improve efficiency in medical certification processes, has the potential to transform professional assessment across industries by reducing the burden of item generation, facilitating staff training, and enabling personalized feedback.
